Treloyhan Lodge was designed by Cornish Architect, Silvanus Trevail and has a collection of original paintings and prints by St Ives artists. It is available for holiday rental on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday throughout the year. Treloyhan Lodge is situated just a few minutes walk from Porthminster Beach. It enjoys sea views across St Ives Bay, sleeps 8, and has a heated swimming pool available between 6th May 2023 and 29th September 2023. Pool heating is subject to an optional extra charge of £200 per week. Bed linen and towels are provided and there is parking space for three cars . An Unlimited Broadband connection is included and means you can stay in touch or download films and music! Treloyhan Lodge has a no smoking policy for all internal rooms and unfortunately dogs cannot be accepted Treloyhan Lodge has four bedrooms, large sitting room, superb sea views, kitchen, utility room, two ensuites, family bathroom, dining room, gardens and swimming pool. Accommodation in Treloyhan Lodge is located on three floors. GROUND FLOOR This is accessed via the original Victorian door to the enclosed granite entrance porch with spotlight, which leads to the kitchen, dining room and living room. Floors throughout this level are finished in stone tiles.Walls throughout the property are painted. Kitchen Part of the original 19th century Lodge, this is a double aspect room with views out to Godrevy lighthouse, St Ives Bay, and large bay window with breakfast table and four chairs overlooking patio. Refitted kitchen in white, integral double oven , electric hob, large microwave/oven, integral full-size dishwasher, integral fridge and comprehensive range of crockery, cutlery and cookware including liquidiser, ovenware, pans etc. Dining Hall Part of the original house, this is panelled throughout to full height, with ornate cornicing and wall lights. It provides seating for eight people, with original oil painting of the local coast by St Ives artist. Living Room This is a large room,(approx 6m x 6m) and forms part of the later addition to the property. It is triple aspect with good views over St Ives Bay as far as Hale and Godrevry, and glimpses of The Island, St Ives. With ornate cornicing, low level hardwood panelling to two walls, two and three seater settees, matching armchair and small wicker sofa, side tables, recessed lights, wall lights and small rug , 50" wall mounted TV, and pictures of St Ives. Large patio doors lead to balcony overlooking the pool, with patio table and chairs Stairs ( stripped and painted) from the living room lead down to short stone tiled corridor which gives access to: LOWER GROUND FLOOR Garden Bedroom Part of the later addition, this is a large room (approx 3.7m x 5m) with en suite fully tiled shower room in black and white. Bay window looks out to garden with venetian blinds. Fitted carpet, two seater sofa, mirrors, original watercolour painting, coffee table, 5ft mahogany bed, art deco wardrobe, chest of drawers, side tables and large flat screen TV, recessed lights and wall lights. Pool Room/Bunk Bedroom This can be accessed via the garden bedroom or directly from the pool area via double glazed door. It is approx 3.5m x 2.5m and has its own large en suite fully tiled in white shower room The floor throughout is tiled in ice white ceramic tiles and there are two bespoke three foot bunk beds with memory foam mattresses, a chest of drawers, two small armchairs, high level dressing table with large flat screen TV above, individual lighting to beds and wall lights. Utility Room This contains the washing machine and small chest freezer. There is also a sink with cold water tap., and the floor is finished as for the ground level in stone tiles. There is a door that leads to the garden FIRST FLOOR This is part of the original house, with thick granite walls and is accessed via painted stairs to the back of the dining hall. Floors throughout this area are solid oak. Victorian Bedroom This has the original fireplace (not working) and exposed corners to deep window recess with venetian blind, and to the chimney breast. Recessed and wall lights provide illumination. It is approx 3.2m x 4.2m and there is a 5ft bed with Victorian mahogany bedhead, Edwardian tallboy and matching wardrobe, blanket chest, side tables, rugs, original water colour painting and ornate overmantle mirror. Twin Bedroom This room (approx 2.5m x 3m) has bespoke twin 3ft beds with deep sprung mattresses, a fine art deco wardobe, wall lights and recessed lights, shared side table, mirror, and window with venetian blind. Bathroom Fully tiled with enamel bath, built-in vanity unit and over-bath shower and recessed lights. Heating The central heating is very efficient and the house, especially the living room is very comfortable even in the worst of winters. Outside There is parking for three cars. The garden is landscaped, on three levels accessed via steps, and is largely to the side of the property with sea views. The pool area has sea views, chairs, tables/loungers and steps leading to an upper patio area with sea views, table and chairs and some landscaping. There is fencing and lockable gates around the pool for safety. It is heated and available from May to September ( inclusive). It is maintained weekly. General Bedding All bed linen (100% cotton) and towels are provided. All beds and pillows have quilted protectors and bedding is duvets throughout with lightweight quilted bedspreads to all beds except bunk beds. There are also spare blankets if required. Broadband There is unlimited broadband/wifi available in the property. LOCATION The property is located on Porthminster cliffs just minutes from the centre of St Ives. The footpath to the side of the property leads to Hains Walk and car-free access along a wide metalled footpath to Porthminster beach in approx five minutes from the house. This is one of the finest beaches in St Ives and perfect for families, with excellent cafes, and access to the harbour/shops in a few minutes. The railway station and bus station are less than half a mile from the house. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness and immaculate presentation of Treloyhan Lodge. In order to maintain this very high standard we ask that guests depart by 10.00am on the day of departure and do not arrive before 4.00pm . This will enable our cleaning contractor to properly service the Lodge.
