When we travel we seek out high quality hotels where they too have emphasized the quality of the bed and the bedding. A high quality/comfortable sleep is at the top of our list when we travel and that demand extends of course to our home away from home place in Whistler. On this (and all other things in our condo), there is and always was no compromise! On anything. Comfort and cleanliness top our list and is why both are of paramount importance in what we provide at our Whistler place. AIR CONDITIONING. <br><br>2. CLEANLINESS.<br>We use only the best cleaners and it shows. This is complimented many times in our kind reviews. Sanitized for each stay and fully equipped with linens/towels etc..<br><br>3. LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION!!<br>The Aspens is true ski-in ski-out. DIRECTLY ON THE SLOPE OF BLACKCOMB IN THE UPPER VILLAGE AND ADJACENT TO THE NEW 10 PERSON GONDOLA. From the elevator in the lobby to the ski valet (free) to the area where you put on your skis/snowboard at the gate just beyond the pool is a max. 45 second walk. Then a 5-10 second ski down to the gondola (or 2 minute walk).- the Aspens is considered one of the best if not THE best TRUE ski-in ski-out in Whistler. <br><br><br>4. THE REST:<br>We use our Whistler place often in between rentals which means we insist on our unit being very fully equipped with the BEST OF EVERYTHING and VERY CLEAN. Please read-on!!<br><br>-Unit #440 is the largest one bedroom in The Aspens at approx 700sq ft. with vaulted 15' ceiling creating a very comfortable space. In fact due to the unique location of our unit the layout makes the living area itself larger than all other1 bedrooms and even the vast majority of the 2 bedrooms! We've had guests comment that when they travel with other families/groups, people assemble at our place due to the size and comfort of the space! <br><br>-FREE SKI VALET!<br><br>-FREE WIFI.<br><br>-2 balconies. <br><br>-EXCELLENT BBQ! \"Jackson Grills\". Best I've ever used. It rises to any/all occasions. <br><br>-RENOVATED with many upgrades including HEATED TILE FLOORS. <br><br>-In addition to the fabulous king bed in the bedroom there is 1 Queen sofa bed + 1 single sofa bed in the living room. <br><br>-55\" HD smart TV with bluetooth soundbar and wireless subwoofer. With all the very comfortable seating, high quality sound and video the entertainment is excellent!<br><br>-New solid maple live edge fireplace mantle complemented by live edge shelves AND a writing desk in the bedroom for a quiet workspace. (the live edge items are a labor of love! It took me 1 year to find the perfect mantle piece!)<br><br>-New artwork \"Blueberry2Blackcomb\" giclee print from our favorite artist (Andy Anissimoff of Squamish). This joins his works \"Run\" and \"Black Tusk\" giclee prints. -The wooden sculpture \"The Skier\" (Alan Boileau). Alan's piece really steals the show! Our place looks great!!! <br><br>-professionally cleaned after each stay including regular carpet steam cleaning.<br><br>-Top floor. Quiet. Spacious. Our place is truly a gem! Nothing left undone. Fully equipped kitchen. We mean FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN! Quartz countertops, stainless appliances, all clad pots and pans -Lagostino, Kitchenaid, Cuisinart, Keurig coffee maker. Even baking items, blender, martini set, wine and champagne glasses, excellent knife set etc... The works! (we had a Chef from Seattle stay winter 2019 and even he had high praise for the kitchen!). Off the living room balcony one of the best BBQ's available for your private use.<br><br>-Remotely programmed wifi electronic door lock for very convenient check in. NO off-site check in, NO waiting in line at the front desk. Just park your car or get off the shuttle at the front entrance, take the elevator to the 4th floor, punch in your uniquely programmed door lock code and enjoy! (quite a few units use 3rd party management companies. As result you often need to check in at an off-site office in the village which is a bit of nuisance. Ours is completely hastle-free!!)<br><br>-The Aspens is one of the best ski-in ski-outs in Whistler! Neighbors include The Fairmont and the Four Seasons. Whistler's newest 10 person gondola merely seconds from the property gate. From the elevator to where you put on your skis is approx. 45 seconds' walk. Less if you're in a hurry to get first tracks!<br> <br>-Underground parking is $Cdn17/day though you don't need a car if you stay at The Aspens as everything is close by. <br><br>-Walking distance to shopping/groceries/Village/Upper Village. <br><br>-Year round LARGE outdoor pool and 3 hot tubs. When you are swimming or in the hot tubs you can watch the skiers and boarders going by. <br><br>-NOTE -there are many, many illegal rentals in Whistler. Only owners who have a valid business license approved and provided by the Resort Municipality of Whistler are entitled to rent property short term. We have posted a picture of ours in our photos section. A prudent approach would be to ask to see it from other properties you are considering. Some will not be able to produce one. While heavy fines are for the owner’s account if you rent one of those you may be subject to some angry neighbours.... <br><br>-TOP FLOOR MEANS QUIET! Our Penthouse is a very nice option if you want peace and quiet.<br><br>-While slopeside units have lovely views of the ski run and chairlift you also get all the noise from the courtyard holding the pool and hot tubs. Our unit is front facing. Very quiet. We also have beautiful views but do not get the noise from the pool courtyard or the groomers and their constant beeping throughout the overnight period. The pool and hot tubs are open until 10:00p.m.. Often property management have to kick people out who ignore the closing time....<br><br>-Air conditioning. If visiting during summer suggest to pay close attention to this as it does get into the 30’s Celsius and many units have no A/C. Some units have portable window units with a hose sticking in the window or patio door and do a decent job for some smaller units not in direct sunlight however ours is a proper high btu wall mounted unit with exterior condenser and fan. The best possible set up and it does an excellent job cooling our larger unit. You can see it above the window next to the couch in a couple of our pictures.<br><br>-walking distance to everything Whistler has to offer.<br><br>-Wii with over 20 games<br><br>-Netflix<br><br>-laundry facilities in the building<br>")

It is located in the beautiful Northwest Bay in Nanoose Bay. A perfect combination of ocean and mountain views, it's breathtaking to watch the local wildlife and sunsets. The suite has its own private entrance. With a queen bed, 2 twin beds, furnished kitchenette, bathroom and ocean front deck. The ocean front deck is the best place for sun tanning, having a glass of wine or a pint of beer while enjoying the summer breeze.<br><br>Children are welcome. They need to able to walk on uneven floor/ground. (see twin bed area pictures)<br><br>Propane BBQ Grill is provided to make your favourite grill dishes whether for lunch or dinner. An outside dinning table also available at the deck with a great view to make your every meal special and memorable.<br><br>This location is perfect for water activities such as Swimming, Kayaking, Canoeing, Paddle Boarding as well the neighbourhood is ideal for biking and walking for the entire family to explore and enjoy.<br><br>March is the herring season. Fishing boats are an additional attraction during this month. From late summer to late spring the bay is full of sea lions, during the summer they go to California to breed. You'll enjoy watching seals, sea otters and sometimes even whales. Birds such as herons, eagles, sea gulls, humming birds are visible in the area as well as deer.<br><br>We are minutes drive away from National Parks, Nanaimo, Parksville, Goats in the Roof in Coombs, Englishman river falls, Qualicum Beach and much more. Popular restaurants aren't far if you want to go out for lunch or dinner. It is also close to a marina, grocery stores, gas station, liquor stores and banks.<br><br>Nanoose Bay is blessed with beautiful nature, peace and tranquility.
