Accommodation: 5 characterful rooms on different levels, sleeping 2, 3 or 4 persons; all are en suite.
Some have fireplaces and one has a private terrace. One which has a fireplace and 2 bathrooms - one normal and one open air and with a view! All have air conditioning and heaters.
Location: Set on a terraced hillside above the village of Afensou just 1 hour north of Taroudant. The last few kms of the journey is a track along which you’ll be driven by 4x4 – or in good weather possible by car or even on foot. There are 2 access routes: one may not be feasible in bad weather.
Services and other points to note: Flexible programme of activities to choose from includes gentle or strenuous walking, mule riding, exploration by 4x4, mountain biking or cookery lessons. A genuine experience of Berber culture including an in-house hammam. Longer treks with 4x4 support are also offered.
Meals: 3 meals a day are included: menus are imaginative.
Staff: Luc, Hafida, his Berber wife, and staff will give you a warm welcome. Luc speaks excellent English and French. Kamal speaks excellent English.

The region of Taghazout is known all over the world as one of the best surf destinations. Situated in the heart of the most famous surfing spots of Morocco the closest ones to our hotel are Devil’Rock, Crocs and Banana Point. The activities which we practice here are thus surfing as well as yoga. We offer surf lessons and yoga classes with qualified teachers.
We are happy to help you with any other activity (horse riding, massage…) or any excursion (Paradise Valley, Essaouira, souk in Agadir) you might want to do and which will certainly make you discover more of the Moroccan culture. We can also be of assistance should you need a rental car.
The Surf Hotel is a new property mixing modern and Moroccan style nicely. From the hotel’s beautiful rooftop terrace you have a great view over the town and the ocean.
The rooftop is definitely the place to be. You can enjoy your breakfast up there in the morning, have a yoga class, relax during the day, enjoy a BBQ with the other guests in the evening or just enjoy the stunning sunsets while having a mint tea.
