The bedroom, upstairs, is very spacious and overlooks the gardens. It has a very inviting atmosphere and lots of character with custom wood trim. There is also a view of Mt. Hood from the bedroom.
Queen Sleep Number Bed. You must enjoy taking baths as there is NO shower. It is a Large Jacuzzi tub.
Downstairs, a dining room with a wet bar, induction plate, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, water boiler for tea, and toaster. So not a full kitchen but enough to prepare small meals. We will provide you with a few essentials like milk, OJ, butter, jam, bread and a selection of breakfast cereals.
If you forget to bring your iPod/iPad or Smart phone charger, not to worry, your bedroom has a double USB outlet for your convenience.
Easy access to all points in the Gorge. Hiking around the Gorge is fantastic. We will let you know our favorites ones.
Lots of wineries as well in the Hood River valley. Tour the Columbia Gorge Appellation (AVA) vineyards.
Hood River is also known for its great micro-breweries: Full Sail, Double Mountain, Everybody Brew. After a long day hiking, nothing better than a cold locally brewed beer.
Several delicious restaurants within minutes. Bakery, grocery store and shopping area also within one mile.
Coffee shop and local pubs 5 minutes by foot from our place.
Your rental has its own private entrance.
You may park on the left side of the driveway.
You will have full access to the gardens.
We will not interact too much with the guests.
They will be greeted by one of us, showed around the house. Then they will be on their own to enjoy their stay. We are always available any time to answer any questions about the area's hikes, restaurants, wineries, breweries, etc.
The neighborhood is residential. Rather quiet especially at night. We are about a mile away form downtown Hood River. Which means that all the noise from the freeway and the railroad doesn't reach our house. Peace and quiet, yes.
There is no public transportation around town, but there are plenty of cabs if needed. Downtown is about 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes by foot.
If you forget soap, shampoo, and any other amenities we will be glad to provide you with any needs.

Newly remodeled home with green principles, including solar: One story 2 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom 1200 sft town home with attached double car garage in the Hood River Heights suburban neighborhood on a quiet street. New wool carpet and bamboo floors, all stainless steel appliances, solar panels and patio in private, fenced back yard with native plants.
I have an electric car, which I charge with my solar electricity and I am happy to answer questions about the car!
The house has central AC and forced air gas heat and the street is quickly plowed in winter.
It is being cleaned professionally every month.
I do not have a TV.
The 8% transient room tax is included in the price.

I am an Acupuncturist and have a team of employees and two clinics. I have a long term partner and we consciously choose to live in separate homes. A Dutch Brother's Coffee drive through is in walking distance as well as the Rosaures grocery store and shopping complex, 10 Speed coffee shop and various restaurants and shops.
The home is also close to the Indian Creek trail system, which is great for a quick trail run right from the door.
Driving distance: 3 min to Hood River Sports Club and Rosaures, 5 min to down town (many restaurants, shops and live music) and the weekly Farmer's Market on Saturdays, 9-1 or the large public swimming pool, 10 min drive to Post Canyon or the Event site, 30 min drive West to Stevenson, WA or East to The Dalles, OR, 40 min South to Teacup lake XC ski trail system, 45 min South to Hood River Meadows Ski Resort and 60 min to Timberline Ski Resort, 60 min West to Portland and to the airport.
It is important that you have a car, since there is no public transport and the local hills don't lend themselves to bike commuting very well – unless you are a bike traveler!

The apartment can accommodate 3, and families are welcome. There is 1 Queen size bed, with down comforter, soft pillows and a handmade quilt and a futon couch which can be made into a comfy twin bed.
Guests have access to the studio apartment via a private entrance, from the designated parking space. Shared laundry available during your stay. Large shared riverfront porch for outside dining and relaxing.
We respect our guests privacy during their stay but live in the main part of the house and are available to answer any questions,or provide recommendations, as needed.
We are right on the Hood River Valley Fruit Loop. Tucker Road is 200 yards away and vehicles can be heard at times. You can walk to the neighboring country store and dahlia gardens when in bloom, or launch your kayaks on the Hood River from the Tucker Bridge (at your own risk of course).

The studio apt. is on the first floor, separate from the main house with no shared spaces. It has its own entrance through the backyard garden, which is yours to enjoy. The space itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. The studio has it's own air conditioner/heater, you set the temp to whatever is most comfortable for you. There is a large closet, a small table for meals and a desk for your use. High speed wireless is available. The house sits back from Wilson Street, and is accessed by the alley between Wilson and Hull. Although this makes it a bit harder to find the first time, it is very quiet and private with no traffic noise. There is room for one car in the driveway.
There is a private full bath and kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, and electric kettle. Laundry service can be arranged for long term guests.
We are usually just a text away. Please let us know if you need restaurant or activity suggestions or forgot anything we might be able to provide! Your door is accessed with a code, so no key is required.
Located in the Heights neighborhood, conveniently located with coffee shops, bars, awesome bakery and restaurants close by. Downtown Hood River is just a short 15 minute walk. We live in the house, but keep the guest suite private to give our guests to space to themselves. The suite is part of the first floor of house, but it remains locked to rest of house. Once you book I will give you the key code to get in to your guest suite. That way when you arrive you can just park, walk down your path to door and go on it. If it's night, we have motion lights and a lit path so no worries there. We are a busy working family, so if we are home and see you out we will say hi and visit. For the most part, we like to have the guests have some space and privacy to be on their own. We are always a phone call away or quick to respond with any questions.
What I like about our location is we are 10 minutes to downtown to check out all the excitement at the local shops, tasting rooms and river, but also on some land with some space and quiet at night. You can easily head out to do the fruit loop, seeing vineyards and flower gardens. Our closet vineyards are 1.5 miles away (Such as Marchesi, Cathedral Ridge, Hood River Vineyards)! It's also an easy jaunt up the hill to explore Odell and Parkdale. We are super close to Indian Creek golf course (1.3mi). We are near Indian Creek trail for a walk or run. We are less than an hour to Mount Hood for year round activities. We are close to hiking and cycling areas in the gorge. I enjoy heading out to Lost Lake and the Reservoir in the Summer for a swim and paddle boarding. We are on a couple acres and on a clear night the stars are bright. On a clear day you can see Mount Hood. The Airplane and auto museum is super close and fun to check out. On a nice day, you will see gliders and gorgeous planes floating above our house. (No loud evenings like normal airports). Of course, if it's a cold winter night, there is a nearby bowling alley and plenty of restaurants. I should note our house is off a road that is 40mph, but you can fairly quickly hook up with local, slower streets. We are 10 minutes to the freeway for easy access. Many Washington and Hood River, Oregon wineries are within 15 minutes drive from this central location. Spring, summer and fall windsurfing, kite boarding, SUPs, kayaking, and hiking all abound just 10 minutes away. Winter skiing at Mt Hood Meadows is a 40 minute drive. After your adventure enjoy a great meal out or prepare a simple meal or BBQ at your studio and enjoy the awesome views and sunsets there while you dine.
The studio is cozy and inviting. It has it’s own private entrance and is in a separate building across the lawn from our home. The space is provided with all the things you may need/want for an enjoyable stay. Just ask us if there's anything more you may need, including info about the area! The studio has a queen size bed, ceiling fan, 40” TV, 60 mb wifi, Bluetooth speaker, kitchenette, coffee maker with coffee & tea, microwave, mini fridge, and outside BBQ. The grounds around are well manicured with a flowing stream between two ponds stocked with goldfish in front of the owners home. Feel welcome to sit on the bench and enjoy the sound of the water flowing from the fire hydrant while watching the calming fish.
Guests are free to use the grassy front yard, hammock, or relax by the stream and ponds.
We are very social active hosts. If you would like privacy, the studio is perfect. If you would enjoy some conversation we are always open to enjoying guests and their experiences as well as sharing our own, with a great glass of wine! There is a kind, gentle black and white lab/ border collie that will probably greet you when you arrive. Willy will walk away and leave you be if you call him by name and tell him \"no\". Pet him or give him a treat and he's your friend for life!
Our neighborhood is 1/2 acre lots, so there is plenty of space between homes. On our private, dead end street there are only 6 homes so there are no traffic concerns.
We are located in an area that has great biking to town or just exploring the area. If you enjoy an evening stroll, a walk right from your door can be taken through quiet neighborhoods and AWESOME views! Other activities are best accessed by auto.
Also, to cross the bridge over the Columbia River into Hood River, Oregon, there is a $2.00 toll each way, cash. It’s convenient to have a little bit of cash with you to pay the bridge tolls in the area!
Our older lab/ border collie mix dog, Willy, may bark initially but is VERY friendly but will not bother you if you send him away. He doesn't reside at all in the studio.
Being in a mountain area with plenty of hills and steep driving terrain, during snow or icy conditions it may be difficult to get around or access our studio without an All Wheel Drive or 4WD vehicle. We will try to keep you informed if those conditions arise.

![TreeTop Studio]( "Climb a spiral stairway to the Treetop Studio! Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck as the sun rises over Burdoin Mountain. Full of light, airy yet cozy, this backyard studio comes with a full size bed, small kitchenette, full bathroom, TV, DVD, leather couch and AC. Walk 1-3 blocks to the public pool, tennis courts and downtown White Salmon with its bakeries, fantastic book store, brewery and excellent restaurants. Perfect for one or two guests.
The studio is one large room with plenty of windows and a set of french doors, and a full bathroom. French doors on the east wall and windows on all other sides of the building let in lots of light and look out into the surrounding treetops. The unique shape of the roofline creates a cozy feel to the room. We have a pool table in the middle of the room that is normally covered and protected so you can use it as a large table area.
The Studio is located in our backyard, with its own access and parking. You'll have access to the whole upstairs and deck, and there's a patio downstairs that you are welcome to use. We'll also share our gas grill if you're interested in cooking a meal outside. If you'd like to use the pool table we ask for an additional refundable deposit of $500 in advance. Please let us know if you are interested when you book, otherwise we'll keep it covered for protection and you can use it as a table for your luggage or whatever.
We are usually available to help our guests, and happy to orient you to White Salmon and the Gorge. If we're not at home, we will make sure there is a local contact if you need anything.
Our place is in a beautiful part of White Salmon. From your deck you'll have a glimpse of the Columbia River through the trees. Directly behind our place is the forested slope of Strawberry Mountain. You can walk up and over this old volcano on residential streets, partially through the woods. Across the street from us are the city tennis courts--4 of them that almost always have availability. They're located in the City Park, which has great views of Mt Hood from the grassy slopes. A block away from the studio is the public pool, and a three or four block walk puts you in downtown White Salmon where you can get fresh bread baked daily in a wood-fired oven, healthy breakfast and lunch foods, good coffee, a locally brewed ale, or a fantastic dinner. White Salmon also has an awesome bookstore you may want to browse.
Public transportation is sketchy in the Columbia Gorge. We do have the name of a cab company in the studio, which has private parking just off Lincoln avenue.
Our studio is perfect for one or two adult guests. We are willing to consider one additional child, with prior notice.")

This is a very quiet and private studio with no traffic noise. It has its own private entrance and is separate from the main house with no shared spaces.
There is a private driveway right outside the studio. Parking is easy.
It has AC and base board heat.
It has one main room with a queen size bed. It has an equipped kitchen with an electric stove and small refrigerator. Please note the refrigerator is quite small. There is a drip coffee maker or french press to choose from. Assorted teas, coffee, milk, oil, salt and pepper are provided.
The desk area has a plug-in for your laptop as well as a port with speakers for your iPod or phone so you can enjoy your own music or podcasts. WiFi is provided.
There is a small dining table that has one extension leaf. Also two lounger chairs. The TV is used for watching the DVDs provided. It is not connected to the internet or cable service.
The studio has its own private bath with a large closet and full sized shower. There is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a folding suitcase rack in the closet.
You have your own private access with self check in and a parking area for up to two cars.
Two sets of keys will be provided.
We enjoy meeting our guests but we also respect and understand that most people prefer their own space. We are just a phone call or text away and really encourage our guests to contact us should they have questions or need anything. We are always eager to help. Our home is located just across the yard but totally separate from the Studio. One of us is often home
Our studio is located in the beautiful Columbia Gorge Scenic Area and is just biking distance away from popular mountain bike trails and local vineyards. We are very close to Post Canyon and have a large field at the back of the house creating a spacious and country feel. There is a wonderful view of both Mount Adams and Mount Hood form the field. It is a short car ride from downtown Hood River and the Waterfront. All amenities are close by. Skiing on Mount Hood is just a 40 minute drive.
You really need a car to get around Hood River though there is a taxi service.
We have small miniature poodle and a border collie on the property. Both dogs stay in our fenced yard and do not go anywhere near the Studio. We also have free roaming chickens in the field.")

We are located in a commercial zone, which means you can easily walk to Everybody's Brewery, restaurants, bakery, pharmacy, etc. However, this also means that we are on the main street that runs through downtown White Salmon. White Salmon is a tiny town, but there is thru-traffic, and you will hear the traffic in the studio, especially on weekday mornings for the work bustle (but it does quiet down in the evenings). Please understand this before you book the studio, as we want happy guests!
The bridge that connects Hood River and White Salmon is a toll bridge, which is $2 (Bridge of the Gods is a toll bridge as well). Be sure to remember to have cash in your car if you plan on exploring both areas. If you cross at The Dalles (or come from the WA side via Vancouver WA), there is no toll. If you are here for an extended stay, it is worth it to get \"BreezeBy\" for $1 each way.
No smoking in the home, but you are welcome to smoke on your private deck outside accessible from the kitchen.
We recycle! There is a recycling bin in the kitchen closet with instructions on what gets recycled.
Fair-trade shampoo, conditioner, body soap and lotion provided. Linens include soft fluffy towels and high-quality cotton sheets along with a down comforter, cotton duvet, and two types of pillow options. The mattress is a queen Sealy Posturepedic.

The location is perfect for us! We love that we can walk to a great brewery, a couple of really good restaurants, an amazing bakery and a pretty dang good grocery store in one direction. And then walking behind our home you will find a sweet neighborhood with cottages, bungalows and anything in-between! You will find a basketball hoop on the street, deer meandering around, happy people chilling out, majestic oak trees looking over everyone, the most incredible view of Mt Hood that doesn't even look real and even our own little White Salmon mountain views too!
We park right in front of our home with a sidewalk to our front door and a sidewalk to the \"White Salmon Studio\" front door. Sometimes we have deer that hang out in the front yard. Amtrak has a stop in Bingen right down the hill and you can also Uber on over to Hood River.
We are located on the main street of downtown. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay or are a light sleeper, please know we are close to the street. You will hear street noise (traffic) and sometimes larger noisy trucks especially on weekday mornings for the work bustle (but it does quiet down in the evenings). We do have black-out window coverings available if you are light sensitive.")
